At the Annual Staff Awards Luncheon several staff members were honored for their many years of service with Crosswinds, including Youth Care Worker Donna Jamesand Counselor Lawrence McCalla (10 years), and
Youth Care Worker Annie Burch (5 years). Ms. Burch also received the Tortoise Award for 2018 for quality and perseverance.

Sierra Hucks, Case Manager, received Crosswinds’ Dale Carnegie Award. 

Rafe Leming was recognized as the Youth Care Worker of the Year.

Carolyn Goodin was recognized as Counselor of the Year.

Program Assistant Ann Fosburr received the Employee of the Year Award.

The entire staff of the Robert E. Lehton Children’s Shelter was recognized with the Program of the Year Award.

The President’s Award for Excellence was presented to Karen Locke, Chief Operating Officer.

Thank you to Variety – The Children’s Charity of Florida for their $2,400.00 sponsorship to the Great Brevard Duck Race. The generous donation will be used for arts and crafts by the children and youth at Crosswinds Youth Services. Art is a vital tool for children and youth to help express their emotions as well as discover and explore their creativity and talents.
